Thursday, we left Pushkar at 5:00 which was good as the air was a lot cooler, almost a bit chilly on the back of the bikes. The roads to Jodhpur were in not very good condition, very bumpy which is rather uncomfortable especially when suffering from bad bellies! We arrived in Jodhpur and followed a man to some accommodation that was fine, nice and cheap however did not have air-conditioning which we later discovered was a big mistake! We ate lunch, took showers, relaxed and napped until 16:00 then headed out to explore. We walked to the local Bazaar which was hectic, Matt and Chris bought some tea and we went to a fabrics factory which at first we thought was a tourist trap but turnt out to be really good. We were shown lots of different fabrics, wall hangings, cushion covers, bed covers, Camel leather bags, cashmere scarfs and blankets, all good quality and hand made and a decent price so we all bought souvenirs. We were in the fabric factory so long it had turnt dark by time we left so we went back to our accommodation for dinner on the roof then went to bed.
Friday, we had a bit of a lie in but we were woken by a power cut which switched all the fans off making it difficult to lie in bed with the heat of the day starting to pour in. We walked to the fort at 8:30 which was a longer walk than planned and started our Flying Fox Zip line at 9:30. There were 2 instructors, the 4 of us and a group of about 6 Indian friends so we had to wait for each person to have a go which was fine but uncomfortable if stood in the sun. We did 6 lines in total over Mehrangarh fort which was fun, the last one was really long so if you didn't go fast enough you got stuck towards the end and had to pull yourself in or in Lauras case get rescued by the man straddling you and pulling you in! We finished just before lunch so went back to our rooms to escape the sun, eat some lunch and chill. Towards the evening we went back to the Bazaar for a browse and found somewhere nice for dinner, the lady in the restaurant did henna so Laura had her hands done. We went back and packed our bags and had an early night as tomorrow is a far old drive to Jaisalmer.
