Tuesday...HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!...we set off at 7:30 to head to South Africa! On route we saw loads of Kuda, Oryx and springbok running across the road and jumping the fence, one spingbok panicked and just ran into the fence! Friday we went sand boarding in the desert at 9:30, Ben chose to do stand up boarding, similar to snow boarding and Laura chose lie down. The sand dunes were very high and Laura had to go down on a piece of Plywood! It was very fun, Laura and Ling went tandem and had a complete wipe out leaving us covered in sand! Sunday we set off at 6:30 from our lovely hotel in Windhoek. Everyone was tired from our night out the night before, we went to a restaurant called 'Joes' and tried game meat, we both had a skewer that had chunks of crocodile, zebra, kudu, oryx and springbok! Monday we set off at 8:00 with our new team to head to Botswana. Ben managed to spend the truck journey transferring photos from memory cards onto his hardrive using Marys tablet so we can finally upload them all when we get to a computer with decent WiFi. When we arrived at camp we had a look round and then an introduction video to the different activities we can do here. We signed up for white water rafting and devils pool. We put up our tents then relaxed by the pool.
