Sunday, we set off at 6:30 to beat the crazy traffic, it was a good start, the road was just like a motorway at home and the tolls were easy enough, we also stopped for a subway and to refuel. As the hours continued on it got very hot and our bums got very sore, we arrived in Agra at lunch time, the roads were like typical India here, full of rickshaws and people and cows, camels and goats, absolutely mental! We were absolutely ruined, so dehydrated and tired, and it seems all our stomachs are now a bit dodgy, we checked into our hostel and went to bed! We headed out to the Taj Mahal at 15:00 which was really good, we seemed to be the only crazy tourists out in the heat so the Indians wanted their photos with us at the Taj. Standing 73 metres high, built in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife of three, Mumtaz Mahal, it must surely be the most beautiful building in the world! After, we were going to go to the fort but it was so unbearably hot we just went back to the hostel where we realised it was 46°c!! We relaxed for the rest of the day, ate some dinner then had an early night.
