Day 44! We dropped off the car this morning, which was a bit of a nightmare because the roads we needed were closed. We ended up having to leave it at a completely different drop off point than we'd thought! We walked back to the hostel and the streets were awful, so dodgy and full of homeless people and druggies. Day 43! So glad to be out of the hostel in Yosemite, it was disgusting! We went to a cute wee place called Dori's tearoom for breakfast, and they made us lunch to take into the park too. We drove back to the park, to Glacier Point, where we got some amazing views! We hiked from there up to Sentinel Dome, which was only a 3 mile round trip but was so difficult. Day 42! We picked up our hire car from the hotel in Vegas, and they'd ran out of compacts so they upgraded us to a bigger car. Result! We drove out to the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign before starting our monster drive to Yosemite. We left at 1pm and arrived at 10pm!! Day 36! We went on a bus tour of Beverly Hills, Bel Air and celebrity homes this morning, which was fun! Saw everyone's mansions from Tom Cruise to the Beckham's. When we got back we got straight on a bus to Venice beach. It was cool to see but it was so tacky and full of crazies. Definitely something to see once and not again. Day 35! We woke up this morning feeling a little worse for wear from drinking last night... We went on a walking tour organised by the hostel up Runyon canyon, which was cool but a little difficult with a hangover in 30+ heat! We got amazing views of the city and the Hollywood hills though.
