Yesterday, we went to the grand palace, which was amazing! i was told before that i could take a scarf to cover up my shoulders and to wear my linen trousers in the grand palace grounds. however the guards said that covering up with scarves was not suitable. so i had to rent a gastly yellow shirt, with a funky scent! i made sure ally didnt take any of me! The buildings and temples were spectacular, all covered in tiny mosaic tiles. After, we went to Golden Mountain, which is a view point in the centre of the city, with yet another temple at the top.

In the afternoon, we just chilled around khosan road, picking up a few bargains and more pad thai! In the evening, we went to a thai cultural show, which was amazing; havent seen anything like it! There was actually a river running through the stage, and probably more performers than spectators. We met a couple from Ohio, who we went to dinner with before the show.

This morning we got packed up and moved to our joining hotel for our tour up north. We meet the group and tour guide tonight at the hotel. No real plans for today, we have done all the main sites and templed out, so just going to potter around and enjoy our last day before the tour starts. We think there is a 5 hour bus ride tomorrow! Great!

It is a gorgeous day, so hot! There hasnt been much rain at all, only a few showers.

We were unaware of the eclipse, very difficult to see through the bangkok cloudy skies anyway. All the main chat is about the full moon soon.

Hopefully, the next message will be from Sukothai, if we can find internet. We are going to upload photos tonight, so watch this space!
