hello from our last destination of the tour, Chiang Mai. we had to get up at 6:30am this morning, in order to catch the 3 hour public bus. last night the ladyboy show was a big disappointment. it was a large food court centred around a stage, which had poor performances from wannabe ladies. some of the "ladies" were not very convincing, with masculine jaws and hairy belly buttons.

today, we went to visit our last temple of the north, located at the summit of Chiang Mai. after climbing the 300 steps to the top, we had a fortune telling and were given symbolic bracelets by buddist monks. sadly lauren was told she has an 'unfortunate' future, which will turn with some patience. tonight we are going out for our last group meal, finishing off at the famous night market of Chiang Mai.

tomorrow, we have a hilltribe trek and bamboo rafting, which should be fun, tiring us out for the 13hour sleeper train back to Bangkok.
