28 - 20th October 2014, finishing the road trip in Brisbane, QLD

Well it's true to say all good things have to come to an end. Spending the last four weeks with my family out here in Australia has certainly been a good thing, it's been fantastic. But today they fly off down to Sydney for a short city break before heading home to the UK at the end of the week. Thanks guys we have defiantly had a blast!

So from Airlie beach we head to our next stop Yapoon, which is somewhere I have been before, after leaving Clermont and before heading to great Kepple island. Yapoon was awesome we had a beach front view from the camper van and the town is lovely really small and quite kind of like an Australia holiday town without all the tourists. We spent lots of our time there on the beach and drink, laughing and chatting. We then headed south down the Bruce highway. Just diving in the van was entertaining ants and me in the front, music blazing and arguing over who has the better music taste. We ended up at Brisbane zoo. This zoo is know as Australia zoo and is the most famous in Australia as it was owned by Steve Irwin the croc hunter! It was such a cool day, as we were able to cuddle the koalas, watch the croc and tiger show and just spend time feeding the Roos.

Once we arrived in Brisbane the road trip came to an end and it was time to say goodbye to the family. It's sad to see them go, but it's only 6 weeks until il be home for Xmas so it's not too sad. Wow what a fantastic last 4 weeks I have had....incredible. Next stop my flight to cairns on the 28th October.
