6 - Road trip continues...
Day 5 - Graffiton! The tan is defiantly at its best about now so anther day at the beach seemed like a great idea...it's also a good place to lie down where you can stretch your legs...unlike the tent. We chilled out on the beach, I finished my Katie price book charlie and it was a great read ;). I left it by the beach for her next fan to find. In the ever gin we found a nice spot by a lake where we set up for the night.
Day 6 - Byron bay!! Yessss we made it to Byron! We are so excited Byron bay is like home of all the backpackers and hippys! We checked into a campsite for 2 nights with hot shower and electric :) sadly it's been so rainy since being in Byron I think it's the first rain iv seen in Australia. But we didn't let it stop us as we headed into the town to check out what there is to do. We looked around town got soaked and decided to head back to take full advantage of the showers. We got ready had some drinks and headed into Byron to check out the bars.
Day 7 - Ninbin as the weather had made no improvement and it was still raining hit but hot, we decided to dive inland to Ninbin. Known for its famous hippy culture and the selling of various "herbs". We I must admit it's the strangest place I have ever been to, it's a free town so the police have little to do with it. The people are all peace loving, trying to sell you beautiful special cookies. It was an experience to say the least and we enjoyed our day heading back to our byron bay camp for the night.
Day 8- Byron bay to surfers paradise. Yes we are now in surfer paradise, and have decided to camp up for the last 3 nights. Surfers is a much bigger city than I expected it to be, I think I was imagining something similar to byron but as we headed towards it in our tiny car, I thought it must be Brisbane as it was so big. I was wrong...surfers has a great skyline and a real buzz to the city. I couldn't wait for tomorrow to head to the beach as the weather has made a vast improvement and it's now baking and only 8.30am.
Day 9- surfers paradise beach! Yaaaay the sun is shinning and it's a hot day, which means only one thing.....beach! I was excited about going to surfers paradise as I had heard so many things about it, in England I heard it was awesome and a defiant place to go, but in Australia people say it's not that great it's just a beach where people holiday. I loved it! The beach was perfect sand was white and the waves were good. What I found incredible about it was that if you looked one way all you could see was the blue ocean and if you looked the other way it was a buzzing city, two spectacular sights you don't often see along side each other. So we spent the day chilling in the sun and working on the tan. Then headed to some friends who lived near by, a friend of Simmones and had a few drinks with them before heading back to our tent for the night.
Day 10 - Sufers paradise! More tanning at the beach and taking in huge city vibe, I love it here!
Day 11 - Heading to Brisbane for a real bed!! Yeah iv arrived in Brisbane and checked into a hostel so excited to wash my clothes and have a real bed.
Il let you know what Brisbane is like soon....
