7 - Brisbane.

After the road trip the relief of being back in hostel life was awesome, I don't think iv have ever been so grateful for a shower,bed and electric before in my life and the luxury of a fridge was a bonus. I can honestly say I don't think I could of survived the road trip without the pillow....so a massive thank you laurvena, it's a life saver!
Over the top you might think...not really my hair had not been straight in over a week.

So Brisbane, well it's defiantly a place you could settle down and live, it's not too big, but big enough to have all the convinces. My favourite part about Brisbane has to be city beach. City beach is like a lagoon style beach in the middle of the city, so you are swimming around with the city backdrop it's actually incredible :) there is sand so it feels like a beach but the water is fresh and so nice on the hot days here. Yep it's baking!! So as I feel Brisbane is such a cool place, iv decided to look for work, I want too settle down for a while. As I have now been in Aus for about 7 weeks, I have done so much, Melbourne, Sydney, great ocean road, road trips and Brisbane. I feel ready to stay a month or longer, somewhere and work. I have had several job interviews from bar work, to farm work to sales. Il see what I want the most.

Iv met some really cool people, laura from San Francisco ( who says I'm welcome to visit anytime ;) ) the lads and girl from Leeds...literally crazy the lot of them, but such a fun night out, and lots of chelsea banter. And Caitlin from Liverpool and Annie and Stef from Germany, it's been fun getting to know all of them :). And will be sad to see them leave.

So just to update on the job situation, iv been offered a bar job in a hotel near Rockhampton, it's in the middle of a mining town and in the outback! The best part about this job is it will allow me to qualify for my 2nd year Australian visa. I'm looking forward to experiencing real Australian life, by living and working in the bush. The job starts next week so on Thursday il take a flight and the hotel staff will meet me at the airport and drive me to the hotel. Exciting!
