31 - Friday 7th - 9th November 2014, Magnetic island, QLD, Australia, EAST COAST with APRIL!!

So today we headed off from Mission beach over to Townsville, where we caught the ferry over to magnetic island. Magnetic island is a small island off the coast of northern Queensland near Townsville. It's most famous for it's kola and animal sanctuary, as well as having a good reputation for seeing the galaxy at night. Having arrived we were reunited with some friends we had made at mission beach, Andy, Rich and Kerry. We were all told there was a beach party so spent the night drinking lot and lots of goon enjoying the island life style.

The next day was our first full day on magnetic island. We woke up full of beans despite the amount of goon consumed the night before at the beach party. As a group a few of us decided to rent some barbie cars to drive around in and explore the island. The barbie cars were really cool and I think by the end of the day the engines were well and truly recked. Crazy April decided to pull over to a gravel field and teach us all how to do doughnut in front of a group of people waiting for a bus. It was mental, she drove laughing and I just sat there praying for my life. Needless to say I did survived, however we also got pulled over by the cops about a mile down the road and breath tested. Thankfully we got the all clear and drove to our next destination on the island. The day driving around magnetic island was really good and made going to the island really worth while. We made some good friends over there and partied hard!
