Today was the last day of Paris. I cannot believe the trip is already over. There is not enough space in the whole internet to describe how magic today was. Giverny was perfect... it really made me miss home though. The gardens made me think of Mom and Dad. You guys would have really loved it! The plants were amazing, just the colors are breath taking. They don't even seem real. I did however get lost and almost get left behind.... but I was found and made it back to Paris!!
We weighed our luggage and mine was WAY over the 50 lb limit... I was panicking thinking I would have to go into town to buy a new luggage, more money! But one of the professors, Dr. Broad and his wife had a spare luggage that they gave to me to use. I was so floored by their kindness. With that little luggage I managed to escape having to buy anything else and finished packing...
In Paris we went on a last ditch shopping spree... I cannot believe how much money I have spent here.... It's crazy even thinking about it! I have no idea where it went... maybe when I start giving souvenirs and things I can figure it out! But then... we went to the eiffel tower for a picnic... and it was totally amazing... I got to do everything I wanted to... We went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower which is a rather complicated process. You go through two platforms before you can take the elevator to the very top... it's so insane! Lines everywhere. We were at the tower for about 6 hours....
The view is so breath taking. You can see all of Paris, and we saw it at night, with the city all lit up... and the tower lighting up all around us. It was a moment that will stay with me for the rest of my life... Leaving the tower we got to watch it light up again, this time from the outside. It's so breathtaking. I did go a little camera happy... but that is ok!
After that we had to run to catch the last metro and it just such an amazing experience. The company was perfect... the day was perfect... everything was just... perfect. And now the time has come to say goodbye to paris. I still can't believe.
Our bus leaves for the airport at 4:30 am Paris time.... We leave Paris at 7:45 Paris time, and arrive in London at 7:35 London Time... then we leave London at 12:30 London time, and arrive back home at 4:30 Goergia Time.... It's going to be a very long day....
Well, the time has come to load up... I can't believe it.
Here's to a lifetime of memories...
Au revoir Paris!
