Since Adam left, it has definitely been a lot quieter! No one to suggest beers at 1pm. Which has been quite actually. But Noel the manager and Rex the chief thought we were bored.. So they said they were going to take us up to rex's place in the hills.. Well it really was in the hills. A very steep one. They took us first to Rex's family watermelon farm and just said help yourself, was weird to see, I had no idea they just grow on the ground like a pumpkin. Rex went inside and just casually came out with a machete warped around his chest and said ok let's go.. Well we started to head off on these road bikes up these dirt track roads that were so steep my car wouldn't have made it up them and were so rocky and bumpy and Rex and Noel were just ploughing through them.. Laughing laughing the whole way up, having great fun.. Me however, I was holding on for dear life.! When we got to the top we had an amazing view over cloud 9, the main surfing area. Rex then like a monkey climbed this palm tree with no supports and hacked down 4 coconuts.. The best coconuts I've had ever! The coconut water was so fresh, wish I took a water bottle because there was way too much inside! Noel opened up one of the coconuts and fashioned spoons out of the coconut shell to eat the inside. Well it was like eating coconut Creme brûlée. It was so soft and sweet. The way down was even more crazy than the way up! An amazing experience and something they do from a young age!
