So it turns out it's Chinese New Year on Monday and Tuesday so we have Friday to Tuesday off and the school isn't running on Wednesday cause they wanted to take another day off.. I don't mind that! Just need to figure out how to spend my time..?
We were invited by the neighbour to coincidentally the Indian new year party.. We dressed up in traditional clothing, besides most of the girls who were boring and stayed in on their phones..
The food we had was insane.. And they just kept wanting to food us more.. We were the only white people there.. And they genuinely thought we were celebrities! A lot of people shaking my hand and thanking me for coming.. Didn't have the heart to tell them I was here cause I heard there was free food..! We took part in their New Years festival thing where we had to make a fire and cook basically rice pudding in a clay pot.. We came 4th out of six.. We would've done a lot better but there was too many female opinions flying around.. Basically they thought throw more wood on the fire.. It'll get bigger.. Wrong! Throw damp wood on the fire (which doesn't burn) and cut of the oxygen to the flames.. No fire.! But you can't tell them.. So I left them to it!
