After a ****** feverish fluey sleep I woke up in the afternoon and had a cup of Lemsip to start my year off! After browsing through the many Happy New Year statuses on Facebook, we discovered that our friend Jess (Sail Croatia, London) had been in Edinburgh for New Years as well! And didn't even tell us! So Darren gave her a call to try be a smart ****, but it backfired when she reminded him that she'd told us she was coming. We had forgotten! Oops! So we organised to catch up with her and some of her friends for dinner that night, then I went back to sleep. I woke up at some stage feverish, so had a hot bath to settle it down a bit, then went back to sleep. Darren woke me up at about 5, saying they were all keen for an early dinner, so I got up, we got ready, then headed off. We walked down to an ATM, before heading up to our favourite Indian place again, Shamoli. We went in and got a table for 6, then as we were sitting down, two girls walked in and also asked for a table for 6. At first we thought we were lucky we'd gotten in five seconds before them to get the good table, but then they were kind of looking at us, then one of the girls asked if we were with Jess. They were her friends. So we introduced ourselves to Jasmine and another Jess (we'll call her Jess S and the one we already knew, Jess M) then sat down together for a chat. Shortly after, Jess M and another girl, Nadine, arrived and we all had a chat, laugh and a catch up on each others New Years celebrations and ordered some delicious food. I was still feeling quite ******, but Jess S had some panadol that she gave me, which helped a little bit. The food came out, which was amazing, as usual, and afterwards they even gave us a free dessert! And for once, I couldn't eat it all! We kept laughing and chatting together and after a while we got the bill. Everyone seemed to have coins, so we ended up paying in a few notes and a massive pile of coins! It was pretty entertaining watching them all try to work it out! When we'd finally sorted it, we thanked the staff and headed outside where we said goodbye to the girls before walking back to the hotel. We went to the reception for some more milk for our tea (we'd left our 'do not disturb' sign up all day, so didn't get any fresh ones today!) and we chatted with the girl on reception for a little while before heading up to our room and watching a bit of TV before going to sleep again.
