Kya Travels
We woke up this morning, showered and got ready and packed our bags before heading downstairs and checking out.
We said bye to the hostel staff and walked down to the Busarus bus station where we waited in line for a bit before jumping on a bus to Belfast.
We had an apple and mandarin for breakfast on the bus, and I had a snooze for a bit before we arrived.
When we got in we had an hour to spare so we walked up to subway where we got a whole footling each, intending to save some for later, but ended up eating the whole thing cos we were hungry!
We walked back to the Europa bus centre and waited a bit longer until the next bus came along.
There were a lot of people waiting to get on, and it was very hard to find a safe place for the guitars to go underneath the bus, but we got on eventually and got taken down for a very quick trip to the ferry port.
When we got there we grabbed our stuff, and the guitar case had been scratched up pretty bad at the end! Lucky the hard case was there to do its job and protect!
We checked into the ferry and walked over the gangway and onto the ferry where we walked around and found ourselves a seat.
There was an abnormally large amount of kids on this trip which was strange.
But no one around us minded when Darren got the guitar out and played it softly for the whole 3hour journey while I relaxed, blogged and snoozed a bit.
When we finally pulled up onto Scottish shores, we got in line waiting to be let off the ferry and chatted with a girl who had her cat in a bag, which we didn't realise until it started moving!
We walked off the boat after a bit, and got to stroll right past the very busy baggage claim which hadn't even started moving yet, and went straight down to our next bus.
We got a safe place for the guitars, then waited for the bus to fill before it set off for Edinburgh.
It took a while but we eventually made it at almost 10pm to the Edinburgh bus station, grabbed our bags and made the hard walk up hills and through winding streets to our hostel.
We checked in, went up to our room, dropped off the bags and made up the beds before heading back down to the common room.
They had a very cool bar and a cool vibe but we were both pretty wrecked, so Darren had one beer and we used the wifi until our phones both died at the exact same time, so we went back to our room and just chilled out and chatted in bed for a while.
This will be our last stay in a hostel for the rest of the trip, which was pretty exciting as we were very over hostels! The rest of the nights will be spent in a hotel and at friends places. Exciting!
So we talked for a while and after a bit we fell asleep.
