When I woke up this morning I realised I'd forgotten to set an alarm, so I woke Darren I check the time, and it was 10:10! 10 minutes late for checkout! Oops! So we got up quickly, and luckily had hardly unpacked anything, so just grabbed our bags and headed downstairs to checkout. We hung out in the common room for a while, and I went to wash my poor face, which was so full of eczema that my eyes could hardly open this morning! After checking some directions we grabbed our bags and made our way up a massive hill and round some winding streets and down another hill (oh, Edinburgh streets, I remember you..) and went to our hotel for the next four nights, Jury's Inn. We had originally booked for three people, back when Lyle was with us, but they couldn't refund us anything as our booking was not amendable or refundable, but they did offer us free breakfast for our stay which was nice. We dropped our bags off, but it was too early to check in, so we went for a walk. We looked in a souvenir shop for a bit, then stood in a patch of sun that was coming through the buildings for a bit, which was so nice. We walked along the street looking in some more souvenir shops for a bit, then went down to our favourite Mexican restaurant from last time, but it was closed, even though the sign said open at 12... So we wandered a bit more, found our final sticker for the guitar and made our way back down the street to our favourite Indian restaurant from last time, which was open. We went upstairs and said hi to the waiter who we remembered from last time, then filled our plates from the delicious fresh looking buffet. It was just as good as we remembered! (Except for the two Thai dishes, which were average, but the Indian was amazing!) Our friend gave us a free cup of tea and coffee, and we ate too much food. Delicious! When we'd finished, we payed and chatted with our friend a bit longer, who gave us a discount card for next time we come in! Champion, because we'll definitely be coming back in! We headed off and made our way back to the hotel, checked in and picked up our bags. We went up to our very nice room, with its very nice views, and I had a shower to try help my skin a little, then we spent the rest of the afternoon lying in bed, watching TV, finally catching up on my blog (in the writing anyway) and using the wifi. We spent the rest of the night just laying in the comfy, comfy bed watching some movies on TV and all that, and I even got updated quite a way with the photos on the blog too, before going to sleep really late. Productive but lazy day.
