Thursday 12th August pm - Day 2 York

Off we went as we were heading for the York Art Gallery which was on the road back to our B&B. The Gallery had had major alterations and had only reopened on the 1st August after being closed for 2 years. We paid our £7.50 and went off into the new gallery. The paintings were in the main lovely. Very little from well known artists and again there was a First World War section. There was a large pottery exhibition that we sort of rushed through. There was also a school exhibition that all of the local primary schools entered with the theme being Cliffords Tower and there were some very good young artists out there.
