Thursday 12th August late am - Day 2 York

We wandered out into the sun and although it wasn't as sunny as it was the day before it was far more humid. Jannie wanted to sit down so we went off to find a beer stop. After lunch we went down through the park to the river. There were new cafes and the river boat was coming back up the river. There was a huge queue for the Yorvik Centre so it was as well that we had been to see this last time we were in York.

Back up through the gardens and we saw the owl gazebo and seeing last time we were here Jannie didn't get to hold and owl we stopped by so she could. Jannie wanted to hold a burrowing owl and as you can guess it was as big as a blackbird instead we talked her into holding a Barn Owl. All good and they look marvellous and Jannie was happy.
