Monday 10th August - Bourton to Bambury
We said goodbye to Jan & Bob and got on the road to Bambury Cross. The stop was to be a coffee stop plus I wanted to see the "Fine Lady upon a White Horse".
We arrived almost exactly at 10am so set off down the road after paying and displaying. I think by now we must own a permenant space in some car park some place.
We came across the statue of "The Fine Lady" but instead of having a white horse she and the statue were a magnificent bronze. It was off to one side of a round-a-bout and in the centre of the flowers in the round-a-bout there were three large hobby horses. The town holds a festival in April with "The Fine Lady" as the main attraction for the weekend.
We found a coffee shop that was Italian and we were served by a young man from Persia. The coffee was very good but after we had finished and went out into the street it was raining slightly. We walked through the High Street where again there are no vehicles. Jannie really loves these streets because of that. Back to the car and onto the next part of the journey to Kettering.
