Monday 10th August - Bambury to Kettering

It rained steadily most of the way but as we came into Kettering the rain stopped. We paid our dues at another car park and wandered down into the town proper. It's another High Street with no traffic or so we thought until we saw a post man and his van stop at the bollards and they dropped into the ground and away he drove.

The street was wide and rambled about and there were a few people wandering but nothing like we have been used to. It was lunch time and a stop for a sandwich and coffee would suffice today. This was a working town and people were going about their daily business. I think that we were the only tourists in the place. Had a sandwich that took an age for them to make and then back to the car for the final burst of the day.
