Europe 2015
Thursday 27th August - Duomo
So much for us getting here early and having fewer people. There were hundreds and the tickets for the admission queue was quite long so we went to stand at the end of this and a lovely young girl said "Are you over 60 Follow me to jump the queue"
So useful to be a pensioner.
We went to the doors to go in and Jannie was challenged as her linen dress that looked quite respectable was deemed to need a shoulder scarf. Hence the young man appeared at her shoulder with a €2 plain scarf but Jannie liked the fancy €3 one.
In we went and the Duomo was huge in every respect. It was not the most gracious of Cathedrals that we have been into and can think of two or three of the ones in England that we much preferred.
