Thursday 1st October - Homeward Bound but with a bit of Walking to be done yet!

We started down some of these little streets in order to find a shoe shop that we had been into earlier. Shoes for Kev!!

We needed a loo and the nearest coffee shop was the closest we could find so we had a coffee and a loo stop before heading out in search of the street first and then the shop??
No way amongst all of these narrow streets did we find anything close but we did manage to go down the same streets several times and in fact several streets several times. What a maze.

We had had enough so headed for the Metro station of Jean Jaures which at this stage wasn't that far away.

We got there and were buying a few things for dinner in the MonoPrix at the station when "Quelle Horreurs" the buckle on my untrusty Neckermann sandals broke. A couple of times on this holiday the soles have come unstuck and I have bought glue and restuck them but this is a calamity.
How to hold on the sandals and walk home. b*****!!

We eventually got home but the makeshift lashing that I have made to the buckle with some nylon tape that I picked up along the way home on the side of the road near a building site may not be the answer.

Dinner in tonight to finish up the bits in the fridge.
