Thursday 1st October - Le Pont Neuf
After lunch we climbed the steps to get up to the street level to cross the Pont Neuf. Seems every town with a river also has a Pont Neuf!
The weather was warm and no wind and we wandered across the Pont Neuf to an area of Toulouse that was obviously inhabited by people of African origin. All of the shops had darker clothing and we have never seen so many hair dressing shops all in a row.
A lot of this area we had already been through on the Hop on Bus a few days before.
We passed the Water Tower Gallery which was built in the 1800s and is now a photographic gallery and croosed back over the Pont Neuf as we had to retrace our steps to find a shop that we had ordered some bits and pieces which were made up especially for us.
We purchased a scarf for Jannie and the bag seemed to be getting heavier all of the while.
