Friday 2nd October - The Drive from Toulouse to Perpignan

We got up early and had toast and raspberry jam, (all that was left in the fridge) and packed the car and said our goodbyes to Catherine.
She had to come home from Spain just so we could leave and hand her the keys!

We got out of the street that the apartment is in and turned left and at the next intersection we couldn't go straight ahead as there were construction vans and no way through. So we turned left and the street turned left at the end and "voila" there was a car coming towards us and nowhere to go so we backed up a bit and she drove past us and finally we were able to get out onto the main road and eventually onto the highway.

The motorways are great and we soon had to take our ticket at the toll booth. Then it was two lanes for 78 kms and not a lot on the road but the further down the road we got the foggier it got. At one stage there was heavy fog on the left of the motorway and none on the right.
