Tuesday 29th September - The Streets of Toulouse
We went to the information centre to book a bus ride in the open top bus and opted for the 2.30pm tour as it only goes every 2 hours and we felt that we would have lunch too late if we opted for the 12.30pm tour.
We walked the inner streets of Toulouse and were looking for a couple of gifts but had no luck as these girls are hard to buy for.
We stopped at Brioche Doree for lunch and had a filled roll and coffee and bought an apple tart but didn't get to eat it as we were too full after the roll.
We headed down one of the main shopping streets and spied an All Black shop and across the road was an Otago shop the on the corner was a Toulouse Rugby shop and all sold rugby jerseys. How authentic they were was a little suspicious but the Otago stuff was great but expensive. The kids stuff was €50.
We started to head for the Hop on Bus that we had booked and it started to rain. We hadn't seen rain for so long and thought that the hop on bus may be off. Who wants to sit in a bus with no roof? This is not the double decker buses that are in most cities and isn't really a hop on hop off bus at all. Just a hop on and ride around the city for 1.5 hours.
