Up early to check out the area. first we went to see the Roman Baths which were cool, but as we had just been to Rome, it didn't seem such a big deal. Then we drove to Stratford-upon-Avon to see Shakespeare's birthplace and Ann Hathaway's cottage. We also found a little magic shop where we tried Butter-beer and Pumpkin Juice. On the way back to Bath, we went via Bristol where we caught a glimpse of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Britain through the closed gate. We were too late to see it open. There were some people on board who were evidently having a New Year's Eve party there. Back in Bath, we we all really tired so we went straight to bed but fireworks and church bells woke us up at midnight to see in the New Year.
