Wow...what a day of food today! Our first task of the day was to walk up town to meet Alex, from Sinead/Davids apartment block for lunch. Alex used live in Galway with them for a few years. She brought us to a restaurant around the corner from her office called Mrs. Parmas. They are famous for their massive Chicken Parmagianas (basically a chicken fillet breadcrumbed). I had a chilli con carne parma which was delicious and came with Jalapenos. If I got knocked down by a tram en route home, I would die happy.
The girls shared their ones (I dont share food...) which were pumpkin parma (actually listed as vegetarian option but all this is on top of a massive lump of chicken) and mexican parma. Both looked very nice but there was only one being put in front of me! The crazy thing is, all these were served with chips!! You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in America!
We done a bit of shopping in the Docklands DFO (direct factory outlet) adn Southern Cross shopping center before heading back to apartment for swim in the pool which was reopened today! It was so nice - guests are not allowed to be in there but there was nothing stopping us going in!!
We took Sinead and David out for dinner at the Meat & Wine Co. restaurant on the river which was really nice. I had a massive beef skewer for mains which came out of something which looked like you could hang a convict from. It was absolutely delicious!
After rolling ourselves out of the restaurant, we went back into the Casino for one last gamble! I lost 50 bucks in about 10 minutes, but Carol doubled her money. Unfortunately, it was only 25 bucks she laid down but at least she won!!
We all headed back to apartment so we could all put on our stretchy pants and chill out! Cant believe tonight is out last sleep in Australia...allergic.
