A slight delay in giving you an update due to several technological hitches - my computer wouldn't work and being so technologically challenged I couldn't do anything....and of course we work on China time so ho hum I've had to wait to get my netbook hooked up to the schools network (hope I got all that techno speak right Matt)

Well I survived my marathon 22 classes this week with the highlight being Friday when China celebrated "Happy Teachers Day". What a day......got lovely gifts and cards from my different classes and had students wishing me a happy day well into the evening. At least I know that they have been listening to me in class as many of my gifts included pink and purple - my favourite colours which we had covered in our lessons!!!!

Senior 1 classes were quite a bit harder than Senior 2. They are much less confident in speaking English and a few times I felt like I was drawing blood out of a stone. But never fear I persevered and eventually got some of them speaking. Have one bad class who don't seem to be interested in learning English .....I figure one out of 38 classes isn't bad!!

I have added some pictures from Happy Teachers Day....I now feature on more mobile phones in the school but at least I got a few photos myself
