At long last I feel confident enough to venture overseas again after the Covid pandemic and am heading off on an adventure to see 'the best of the Stans". As always there are multiple flights involved in getting from Tasmania to anywhere overseas.
After flight 3 which was a 10.5-hour flight from Sydney to Seoul, I had a 24-hour stopover. Not sure of the timing for getting in and out of Seoul City I opted to explore the area of Incheon close to the airport. Incheon is a city adjacent to Seoul city and is the major transport hub for the country. This is a city with lush green spaces and a population of 2.9 million people. Not sure where they all were as the streets seemed fairly deserted as we walked around. The thing that stood out was there was absolutely no litter or graffiti. With the desire to create an eco-friendly airport precinct the ''World Peace Forest" was built on 188,240 square meters of land. It is a great place to walk around and say hello to the locals.
This has given me the urge to visit South Korea so that will have to go on my ever-growing list for a future trip.
