Happiness Is The Road
After brekky to the sound of a load of gorgeous cockatoos we hit the highway. Our destination today was Carnarvon which was only about 160 kilometres away. About 50 kilometres from Carnarvon we took the turn off towards the coast to go and have a look at the blowholes. We have already seen quite a few stunning blowholes on our travels and didn't think we could experience anything better than what we'd already seen. We did though. It was well worth the detour as these blowholes were breathtakingly awesome and dramatic and the best ones we'd seen by far. The coastline here was rugged and very spectacular with the ocean being a glorious deep blue It was wonderful to witness nature putting on such a great show. We could see the waves rolling in against the rocks, going under and then with some incredible force blasting out through the holes in the rock creating loads of spray. We watched the show in awe for ages and took heaps of photos. After this we went to sit on a nearby beach next to crystal clear turquoise waters for a while and soak up the sun. It was another lovely hot day. After sunning ourselves for a while we decided to drive into Carnarvon and find somewhere to stay. We settled on the third caravan park we came to as we had a look at the other two and didn't like what we saw. It was third time lucky as this park was lovely and quiet. We got a nice end spot and settled down for the rest of the day.
