Nearly there!! Today I was up early and ready for morning meditations. Today Kyle was taking the class and it was interesting to see his teaching style compared to that of Jennifer's. I was able to get quiet deep in my meditation but my mind still ran all over the place. The yoga class started and was very slow today and my mind became board and started to think constantly. Kyle's style in yoga is more meditative: holding poses for long periods of time and then 5-10 minute observations of effects - which I really didn't enjoy. I came out of the session feeling like I hadn't really achieved anything or done any activity. Today made me realize how much I like working out and doing body-weight training and will probably go back to doing a combination of meditation, yoga and bodyweight training. The lecture today was about Yoga Nidra and dreaming which although was interesting didn't really resonate with me - I felt myself eager to have class over. Guess it shows how important the teacher is in engaging students and presenting information in useful and meaningful ways. It's a funny feeling around the house; some people are sick, some are not wanting to leave and some are ready to leave now. I am taking each day as it comes but are more then ready to start my Mexican adventure. The rest of the day I relaxed, listened to music and started to read up about Mexico - I have now given myself permission to get excited about my upcoming trip.
