Week 4 Day 1!! So it has come to the last week and I can say it has been one amazing ride and I am both excited to finish this week and excited for the next part of my journey. I was up early again and made myself a huge bowl of porridge complete with nuts, Raisens, banana, Cinamon and pumpkin seeds. Meditation started and I found myself at peace very easily and although my mind was running I was able to observe and not get too caught up in the thoughts. When the yoga portion of the class came I focused hard and tried to keep my attention on task - for most part I could but towards the end my old thinking habits returned making a mess of my awareness. Relaxation lasted a long time and I caught myself falling asleep a few times but managed to pull back. For the lecture we looked at Karma yoga - about output/input and how we can align ourselfs with the laws of the universe in order to not create any more suffering. The lecture was quiet heavy and confusing in parts but certainly challenged my thinking. Today our teacher has been so kind to lend me her teachers book about Hridaya Hatha yoga; so straight after lunch I was off to the dock to read and get some sunshine. The book was good but I didn't really get any new or exciting info from it and by the evening switched to something more appealing.
