Car Inspection
I don't want to try to relive too much of this experience but every year in Ecuador you have to have your car reinspected. The inspection place is not close to the city I'd say 10 or 15 km out of the city.
The first time we took the car out there it failed because of the steering alignment even though the car had recently been to the mechanic.
The second time we went out there after taking the car back to the mechanic and getting a new alignment record the car passed and Cristina was sent away because she had to go to the bank to pay for the papers!?!? But you can pay the $20 to get the inspection while you're there???
The third time we went out there during her lunch break there were tons of people waiting because all of these people had waited until the end of the month to get their papers. So Cristina took a number we went back to town had, lunch and so I told Cristina I would help her out and do it for her.....Little did I know.....
So the fourth time I went out there, there were hundreds of people now!!! Some in their cars stretched for 200 metres or more waiting to get inspected and giant crowd outside of the building where you get your papers, and where I had my ticket to wait......
I got back out there around 2:30 and they were 100 people ahead of me still!!! I figured it out that about 25 people per hour were being serviced..... I waited patiently anyways until about just before 6 o'clock my number was called!!! YAYYYYYY!!!
I sat down at the desk, he started typing and a minute or two later he gives me this funny look!!!The computer system went down!?!?!?!? Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I almost started to cry......
