A much better day in lots of ways. The pic is of Roger with another best friend....the man who sells rotisserie chicken with piri piri sauce in our lunchtime stop. Yes it was so good. And it didn't rain today. We did a taxi for the first part today as I was feeling so knackered but then had the best walk of the Camino so far. Steep sided wooded valleys and so quiet - then beautiful countryside with so many wild flowers that I might set a quiz to see how many you might recognise.. We are staying in a very small village tonight and the beds seem to be a bit damp but we're having a last coffee and Ginji - the local drink made with bitter cherries which is very warming. Fluorescent lights overhead, local football on the telly, Formica tables and the locals thinking we must be mad to be walking. Here's hoping the bed bugs don't bite tonight.
