Speechlessly tired tonight. Photo is of me with Scott our new Texan friend who walked much of the way with us today. I'm the one in the white jacket. We started at 8.30 and finished at 7.30 pm. It has rained more times than I care to remember. The countryside was lovely when I could lift my head to look at it. The hedgerows look so English with hawthorn in blossom, ferns, poppies and vetches, but the fields are full of olive trees. One lovely old farmer stopped us to give us oranges from his tree which were the best I have ever tasted. One of our best meals tonight although it was very simple with soup, pork and strawberries but well cooked. Roger has been using Google translate to send compliments to the chef ......at least I hope that's what he''s saying. We're just waiting for the bill and maybe he has proposed married to the daughter ! The weather is just appaling and I'm so glad you are all enjoying Spring/summer back home. Hey ho .
