So the photo is of a flaming sausage. We've arrived in Porto after a hard 15 mile walk and 5 mile taxi ride. Ok the outskirts of the city are not great and it was hot and we wanted to get to our fabulous apartment. So we haven't been true pilgrims today but it has been a day of contrasts. Our lunch stop today was in a fly filled room in a very small village where people had mixed a bit too much. But now we are in the most fab apartment you can imagine and even architect Roger can't find a fault altogether he can't work the shower. It's simple really. The shower, not Roger. We met up tonight we w few of the people we've met since Lisbon...some of them are continuing to Santiago and some heading home. Hence the flaming sausage and lots else to eat and drink. I gather that lots of people start the walk to Santiago from here because it's going to get much prettier but we are the hard core who started from Lisbon. So the blog will be about sight seeing for a few days while my walking books gently exhale.
