This is us arriving at Monteriggioni after a 20 mile walk in the sun. Yes, another Tuscan hilltop town of unbelievable beauty, this time it's very small and not overrun by tourists, apart from us obviously. The walking was wonderful and I'll put a few more pics on Facebook. The sweating and grunting up the hills was quite something too. Roger really agonising about choosing his fridge magnets. There was a real conflict between the Pinocchio on a Vespa , as he is from this area- Pinocchio not Roger - but in the end he went for the classic local wild boar on a Vespa sprayed on Italian flag colours. Classic. the boar hunters and mushroom pickers are out in force as we go through the countryside. Today's walk brought us to Siena, quite a rude shock seeing modern houses after a week of medieval buildings. So it's a final farewell to our dear friends who joined us for a week. We will miss you. We have a rest day in Siena tomorrow. I've already found the laundromat and I think there's a few other sites to see as well as our socks and tee shirts.
