This is a photo that Roger took and it's the wrong way round. Ha, it's not just me. This is from the sculpture school at Pietrasanta where we are staying tonight. The whole town is a sculpture park. We walked past so many marble factories on the way in. It's the centre of the marble and granite industry here and old sculptors like Michangelo came here to choose marble. And some if the world's best new sculptors work and train here too. Such a pretty place, less than a mile from the sea yet mountains behind. We met two Canadians in their sixties !! who had walked from the Swiss border and will be getting to Rome the same time as us. But still very few fellow walkers. We're going to stay at a few more hostels later. Although the facilities are a bit more limited you do meet others on the VF, as we now call it. Mainly because we struggle pronouncing Francigena like the locals. I think it's Fran-chee-janeah. R had his first ever Campari and soda tonight. He felt sophisticated but was reminded of childhood cough medicine. Ross, more to follow on Italian drinks and hot news on Italian cars.

Ross At least he felt sophisticated! Glad all going well!
IAN LOADER Let Roger try a Campari & Orange - Wendy hates them but I love them! Something about chips off old blocks. Your pronunciation works for me.
