Sawadee!! Hello Thailand!!

We arrived in this beautiful place yesterday! It is just gorgeous! So peaceful and quiet, it is 9am and I am sitting outside listening to the birds and the ocean, and that is all! No other sounds! Beautiful blue skies and a slight breeze... Just bliss!

Our villa overlooks the pool and sea. In the distance there are a few islands dotted about. The villa has one large bedroom, (when we arrived they had the bed decorated with flowers and two swans in a heart- the honeymoon suite! - just gorgeous), a huge bathroom, living room and even a big walk in wardrobe. Just perfect for us. And we are so glad we went for the sea view as it is just so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the view. Feels like our own resort!

We stayed in Phuket the first night, in a resort really close to the airport. The Nai Yang Beach Resort. It was an older hotel, but really lovely, room was spotless and all very modern inside. The cost for the room was a huge $44 per night! But we didn't even pay that as we used up some points from Hotelclub so it cost $0. And included buffet breakfast too!
We had a lovely Thai dinner the first night in Nai Yang, which is a very quiet little village right on the beach. The restaurant overlooked the beach and it was a very hot night so the sea breeze was welcome.

Left for the airport about noon for the flight to Samui with Bangkok Air. Flight included lunch which was a prawn salad, bread roll, juice and water and cake for dessert (although Lauri ate mine). And this was for a 45 min flight! A bit different to our 8 hour flight on Jetstar! No free food or drink on that one!

We arrived at the resort at about 3pm. The staff and owners here are really lovely. Very happy and friendly. Looking forward to a wonderful stay.
