Rain, rain! And then off shopping in Lamai!

Yesterday was the worst day we have had here so far. Very, very windy and lots of rain. Not much of a day to do anything. Not cold of course but not a beach day either because of the wind, whipping up the sand into your face!! We said goodbye to Ron and Nicky today who left for Germany. They have been here for over 3 weeks. They come here twice a year, usually for a month each time. Will be back again next February. They are a very nice couple. Later in the afternoon the weather cleared up and we went for dinner at Nathon.

Last night was very windy again and we had torrential rain for most of the night. But when we woke up the rain was clearing again. So after breakfast we went off to Lamai. Spent most of the day there, just looking at the shops etc. Bought a few things there and then had a couple of cocktails for 60 baht each before a lovely dinner - whole snapper with salad and pad Thai. It started to rain again there but luckily for us stopped soon after and we got back home with no more rain. It is about 25 minutes ride back and not something I want to do in the pouring rain on a scooter!
