Rain, rain! And then off shopping in Lamai! Yesterday was the worst day we have had here so far. Very, very windy and lots of rain. Not much of a day to do anything. Not cold of course but not a beach day either because of the wind, whipping up the sand into your face!! We said goodbye to Ron and Nicky today who left for Germany. They have been here for over 3 weeks. They come here twice a year, usually for a month each time. Will be back again next February...

It's raining... So we go shopping!!!! The weather turned yesterday. Started off quite warm and muggy but cloudy. We went for a bike ride and luckily got back just before the first downpour. The sky had turned black and the wind was really gusty. Then it poured down for about half an hour. We were planning on going into Nathon to watch the first final - Geelong v Hawthorn at Murphy's. Riding and walking in the countryside.. The past couple of days have been just beautiful... Blue skies and sunshine! We have walked a lot and rode the bikes again down different little roads in the villages. Lovely to see the real Thai life. We have also spent a lot of time just swimming and reading again. Our New Beach Friend!! A couple of days ago while we were walking along the beach this friendly little dog suddenly joined us! She walked all the way back with us...if we stopped she did too and waited for us. Then just before our resort she was accosted by the local dogs who did not want her to go past. So she retreated into the water, the other dogs didn't want to get their feet wet...and dog paddled the rest of the way! She followed us back to our room but ...

Walking and riding around the villages... We have spent the past couple of days riding and walking around the villages. Yesterday we rode for quite a few kilometres down to Taling Ngam and back. Very easy riding though. All flat. Later we took the scooter down to the end of the beach here, where the water is a lot deeper when the tide is a bit low. Water there is also very clear. Up here is not as good as it is very shallow at times and depending on the wind so...
