We went to the Tourist Info at Hervey Bay and spoke to a funny old ex-pat lady, loads of info re: Frazer island and where to stay. She advised us not to stay by the beach as they were full of Perves? (apparently she said perms....oops). We met Antonio from our diving trip. We arrived in Hervey bay and booked into the Big 4 holiday park, nice place with a kitchenb and pool. We then went to the esplanade and wandered through the shops in Torquay! And had a lovely Latte and cheesecake (big luxury for us). We went back and booked our trip to Frazer Island. After much deliberating we went for the cheapest option a one day tour (we would have loved to do the threee day safari)
