We finally crossed the NT heading west. We had a couple of nights at free camp sites, one of which was packed with campers.
The red dust is making its presence known, we now have a red/orange dog instead of a white onw!! Red dust is every where. We washed the car and caravan at Katherine but the next days travel put it all back on again.
We decided to stay a few days at Kununurra just to chill out before the next long distance run across to Broome. The caravan park is very dusty!! Everyhing feels like it is covered in fine dust. It has been lovely weather here, the first day it was extremely hot and HUMID, but then the days were nice and warm and the nights cool enough to use a comforter.
Allen had the car serviced on the first day we got here and also managed to arrange a game of bowls that night! Not bad considering we had just arrived that morning eh! The bowling green was atrocious and Al managed a second place. He recommends that bowlers give this one a miss!
Off tomorrow on the first leg, should be around Halls Creek tomorrow night.
