A lot has happened since our last blog entry. We've been working on wiring the house almost day and night. I spent my last 10 hours pigtailing 60+plugs the day before Sophie was born. The electrical team Kubke/Wyrsch passed the City Inspection without a hitch - we were extremely pumped about that.
While we spent a few weeks hanging out with a newborn, we had sound and R-value insulation put in and the drywallers were at work. My dad (aka Grossaetti) arrived at the beginning of March for a visit and to help with the house - and to work he was put . Him and Jason cleaned the whole drywall mess up (and they sure did make a mess!) and prepared the house for painting by taping all the windows and doors, plugging the electrical boxes and cleaning all the walls.
We (and that's the royal "we", since I've mostly been hanging out with Sophie) have primed twice most of the floors and already painted the garage/workshop with one coat. Things are finally visibly moving along again!
Currently we are in the process of lining up the concrete floor finish and then we will move on to installing all the interior trim (windows, doors, baseboards), the kitchen and all other cabinetry.
