Leg 5 race 7 day 26
Got woken at 6.30am had cereal and a pancake then on deck at 7am
The sun came up around 9am (we are still in Australia time zone on the boat so it was probably 7am Vietnam time that the sun came up)
Took lots of photos with sophie then started doing posing shots round the boat when the sun was up. Including one of us sitting on the boom.
We are still on the same tack slightly healed over with our headsail (Yankee 1 and staysail) on our way to next way point. If the weather stays as it is we are due in midnight on the 17th! But who knows? Clipper may call race off earlier or weather can change ! Would be nice to get in earlier.
Although we will have around 10 days in port there are lots of jobs to be done on the boat and all the food shopping to get for the next race as well as deep cleaning !!!
There is also a corporate Race whilst we are in Vietnam that Carl and I will be taking part in.
There is a chance that we will sail down wind for 500 mile so poor sophie and jane will have to repair the spinnaker.
Went for a lie down in bunk have made if cosy putting a sarong up hanging from the top bunk so make it private
Slept till 4 then laid in bunk and watched film on i pad. Dinner at 6.30 then on deck at 7 till 11 Carl and I fixed safety lines on bow. Calm sea and wind has drppped. Standby til 11 then bed
