Leg 5 race 8 day 5 Was woken at 5.30 for shift at 6am. Had managed to sleep a little but where the boat was beating so hard and the waves bashing into it I was tossed and jerked around in my bunk. Felt like being in a fast car and suddenly breaking so you push forward then jerks into reverse pushing your whole body And it just goes on and on. Leg 5: race 7: day 28 Woken at 6.30 was in a deep sleep! Breakfast of porridge up on deck at 7am which is 9pm Sunday night (uk and Utc time) The race finished at this time we are 5th ! Such a pity we didn't get a 1st 2nd or 3rd. All because we lost time on the 10th due to things not getting done sooner! Leg 5: race 7: day 27 Valentine's Day today! Aim was to get a picture of me and Carl with the sunrise in the background : completed X Woken at 6.30 cereal for breakfast, pancakes on offer too! Leg 5: race 7 day 27 Got woken up at 6.30 found it hard to wake up felt tired! Had a bowl of porridge then up on deck for 7am chilled for an hour as still dark.
