Having not slept very well, coffee at breakfast was very welcome. After which I sat on the patio enjoying the sun. It was quite nice to have this private area away from everyone. Of course it is away from the food and the drink.
We walked round to see if the sea lion show was taking place but nobody must have booked in to the 11 o clock show. We waited by the marina for Charlotte watching the catamaran going out for the day. When she arrived we popped into the Pirate Shop. Who knows when you need something pirate related? By this point I had been out in the sun too long with very little sunscreen on & was starting to feel the effects.
Back at the ranch a spirited discussion ensued regarding what time we would leave for the airport in the morning. The girls as ever erring on the side of caution meaning we shall be there three hours before our scheduled departure. Let’s hope everything goes as planned as a Glasgow bound flight later in the day has been combined with a Gatwick flight. As no transfers are available we shall be getting a taxi, which should only take 15minutes. I think Saturday shall prove to be quite a long day.
Back to the family fun and we played mini golf on the hard course. Charlotte won after a close contest fell apart on the 17th. At my mother suggestion I tried a left handed putt and somehow my ball ended up in the river. Charlotte’s whack which jumped about 5 feet in the air escaped the same fate and the contest was over.
I set up camp by the top bar for a few hours. Most of the time spent there was listening to a lady complain about the Glasgow flight change.
At four I headed to the main pool for a snack. Charlotte had reserved us some loungers. However I didn’t stay long as the poor nights sleep and huge amount of sun were taking there toll.
I had some time inside on the phone to Becky a little snack and felt better.
I popped back out for a couple of Sangrias by the pool area before getting changed for dinner.
As it was the last night we had drinks at Faro bar that overlooks the Atlantic and is at the furthest point out on the Marina. This was an nice place to watch the sunset and fisherman come in for the day at sea.
At dinner I had a random combination of food, basically grabbing anything that caught my eye.
Charlotte headed off to enjoy the entertainment, while Lorna and I made a start on packing.
