I awoke at 8:00 and decided I should do something healthy before I eat and drink too much this week. I set off for a 5K run round the beach and back. I have been lucky enough to go for some runs in some great locations and this mornings run fits into that category. The sun was just above the horizon, and already providing a good deal of heat. The beach was pristine & deserted. It was a real postcard moment. Shame I didn’t have my phone to take a picture.
With Charlotte still in bed mum and I went to breakfast. The choice was very good. Lorna alerted me to the fact there was some fizz being opened which allowed me to have a mimosa after my full English. We took Charlotte some food so she didn’t miss out. Of course I took my obligatory boiled egg back to the room.
This morning we strolled around the resort to locate the other two pools with their pool bars. The first we came too is tucked away in a corner behind the kids club and looks a good place if you wish to escape most people as it offers no views. The second it quite the opposite set directly behind the beach it offers a great view and there was music being played as well as various competitions already taking place.
Just past here we popped into town for a peruse of the shops. Charlotte secures some flip flops while we did some scouting for future purchases. Negotiation on price seems to be key here so we shall go away and think about exactly what we want and what we want to pay before heading back for the haggle.
At the main pool area we got some loungers right by the pool side and the castle that allowed us to enjoy the afternoon in the sun. Lorna and I took in the sangria demonstration. At the end we got a couple of glasses of some very tasty fresh sangria.
For some bizarre reason at 17:00 we had a pre dinner snack and chatted to a couple from Birmingham who gave us some tips of things to do.
Dinner tonight, as ever with all inclusive stays, was a real mixed plate. Seafood paella, accompanied by steak and sausages. Extremely tasty and washed down nicely with vino blanco of course.
Post dinner Charlotte and I went to the theatre to watch the evenings entertainment. She enjoyed the magic show rather more than I. We stayed for a drink after the show to avoid, if you believe it, a sudden downpour of rain.
