My day started with an Angel. He made the best omelette I have had for a long time. He didn’t scimp on the portion size either. After my yogurt and fruit I didn’t need anything else for breakfast. Breakfast is probably my favourite meal, but it’s only on holiday I seem to make time for it. Only occasionally on a Saturday morning at home do I sit down and have breakfast and a coffee. It’s a meal too easily missed.
With clouds overhead it was the perfect time to pop to the shops. Lorna and I cut across the beach to the shopping street we went to on our first day. In the handbag shop I video called Becky to ensure she got something out of this holiday. My mother picked up a new bag. Though every time we left the alarm sensors went off. The woman tried to find the source but in the end gave up and advised us to unpack all the paper in the bags. Let’s hope we don’t get stopped at the airport. So we didn’t set off any more alarms I took the bags home and Charlotte joined Lorna. I opted to go sit by the top pool for an hour or so, before lunch was suggested at 13:00. This was the first time we had eaten in the main restaurant. There was inevitably a cross over with dinner but there were some tasty options. Salted tomato, followed by scuttle fish, then a double dessert, fruit salad and of course cheese and ham. Lorna and Charlotte went to change, while I walked to the promenade to scope out the info on the sea lion experience.
We all went into the beach and Charlotte joined me in the sea, eventually. You can go out quite far and still be standing. The water is crystal clear and you can see lots of fish as soon as you get in.
The rest of the afternoon was spent by the main pool enjoying the sun and sangria.
I nipped for a drink on the promenade before meeting the girls for dinner. I made one drink post dinner, to watch the Beatles tribute act that were good. Lorna stayed a little longer before Charlotte saw out the evening.
