The day started early as I gave myself time to get through security at the airport, with the taxi collecting me at 06:30. There was literally no queue and I was through by 06:50. I ignored protocol and did not have a beer in the departure lounge. As I was going to my gate I bumped into Rory from the Collingwood. Had we met earlier pints would surely have been had.
I tried to sleep on the plane, but with 3 generations of a Yorkshire family behind me this was impossible. Simply because they were all very funny. Supplied with mint imperials from the lady sat next to me, I wasn't sure to take this as a hint or not, the flight was pleasant.
I had not checked my emails before departing as I had thought arrangements had all been sorted. This proved to be a mistake on my part as when I arrived at the airport, Allen wasn't there. I located a computer in the departures area and discovered no less than 14 missed emails regarding my collection from the airport.
Having arrived into Malaga at 12:15 I occupied myself by sitting in a bar outside the airport. At £6 a pint it wasn't cheap.
Allen & Amanda arrived at 18:30 and we made our way to the apartment. Located just fifty yards from the beach it was in a great location. Almost as soon as we got to the apartment Allen & Ellen headed off to collect AJ & David from their flight. Stefan joined us fresh of a train from Madrid. We then headed off to Marbella old town for some drinks & tapas. In a bizarre night we found ourselves in a square watching a belly dancer. We still don't know if we stumbled into a private party but it made for some good fun. The night ended with Stefan and I taking a dip in the sea, much to the amusement our the bar staff nearby.
